So through a series of events (which I will not spoil for you), the events lead up to the sudden and unexpected rapture, where Patty's husband is among the raptured. Patty and Diane decide to go to the fair and there they meet Jim (Mike Niday) and Jerry (Thom Rachford), while Jenny stays back to receive the Gospel message (which is preachy and at the same time effective in its own way, despite the less-than-stellar acting). It turns out that Patti was at that event, and so was a friend named Diane Bradford (Maryann Rachford) and another named Jenny (Colleen Niday). singing the famous Christian song "I Wish We'd All Been Ready" (which is surprinsingly effective in evoking emotion in a way that few songs do), which is based off the idea of people who are left behind after the Rapture.
